Arrive JODHPUR on your own around 1200 Hrs. Our representative will pick you up from any given point and transfer to the hotel by car. Later enjoy special Lunch at your hotel. After lunch, visit JASWASNT THADA and MEHRANGARH FORT and later walk around in the local market and enjoy shopping in the old city of Jodhpur.
In the evening return to your hotel / resort. Later in the evening enjoy special introduction cocktail party at the pool side lawns with light back ground music followed by special dinner. Lots of indoor fun activities are lined up for you. Enjoy the overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit MANDORE GARDENS. Mandore, 9 km to the north of Jodhpur, was the capital of Marwar before the foundation of Jodhpur. It was founded in the 6th century, and passed to the Rathore Rajputs in 1381 after a marriage alliance between a princess of the original founders, the Pratiharas, and the Rathode Raja, Rao Chandor. Today the main attraction here is the far-reaching Mandore gardens with there high rock terraces. The gardens also contain the chhatries (cenotaphs) of the Rathode rulers. One of the most imposing is the Cenotaph of Maharja Dhiraj Ajit Singh, an enormous edifice with carved elephants, amalake (disk-shaped flourishes with fluted edges), a pillared fore chamber with fine sculpture. You can climb to the third storey up a peculiar set of staircases. Opposite is the 17th century Chhatri of Maharaja Dhiraj Jaswant Singh, an enormous octagonal pavilion with a vast dome and huge pillars. It achieves a remarkable symmetry, with a gallery supported by pillars and sculptures of Krishna and the gopies (milkmaids). Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of top restaurants of Jodhpur with a bottle of bear.
Immediately after lunch we will leave for the POLO GROUND to witness a great Polo match in the august company of royalty of Jodhpur state and sizeable crowd of polo players and lovers. It is great movement to watch ace international polo players in real action.
In the evening, enjoy a dinner especially prepared by old chefs of royal family of Jodhpur. It will be a great buffet of choicest veg. and non veg. dishes of Marwar. Over cocktails, we will be inviting few guests from the royalties of Jodhpur. The venue is Sardar Club. (Dress code: Jodhpuri Safa and Suit)
After early breakfast leave for a picnic tour of KAYLANA LAKE. Enjoy boating and fun activities at the picnic spot. Located 8 km west of Jodhpur on Jaisalmer road, Kaylana Lake was constructed in 1872 by Pratap Singh. It is spread over 84 square kilometers’ area. Earlier this area had palaces and gardens made by two rulers of Jodhpur-Bhim Singh and Takhat Singh. These were destroyed to make Kaylana Lake. This is a charming picnic spot with a small artificial lake. And if you are here to stay on to take delight in the sunset. It is like a canvas with a splash of romantic colors. The beauty will linger on with you for a long time.
A special picnic lunch will be organized for you comprising of top delicacies of Jodhpur. You will always miss this treat. An unending fray of fun games, boating and activities keeps you busy and in good mood. You can swim, dance, sing, play, chat or just relax under a tree.
Early evening, we will drive to witness the polo match of the day.
Early evening, we will assemble in the party hall of the hotel to enjoy cocktails with light munches. Later we will leave for a special dinner at Balsanad Lake. This royal resort owned by Maharaja of Jodhpur serves excellent food. Today the guest of honor will be a famous Polo Player.
Balsamand Lake is a lake situated 5 km from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Mandore Road. This lake is a popular picnic spot, built in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar. It was designed as a water reservoir to provide water to Mandore. The lake has a length of one km, breadth of 50 m and a depth of 15 m. The Bal Samand Lake Palace was built later as a summer palace on its shore. The like is surrounded by lush green gardens that house groves of trees like mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum. Animals and birds like the jackal and peacock also call this place home.
Day 4 – It is again an outdoor day today. We will have a jeep safari and will be covering the desert villages around Jodhpur to view rural life and the flora and fauna of the area. We will have picnic lunch under a shady tree.
Around 1600 return to your hotel and relax in your room till evening.
Last evening Bash – An exclusive party in gentlemen style. This evening you will enjoy Scotch on the Rocks and delicious barbeque dishes in the company of two Royal Couples of Rajasthan and you may chat with them about this beautiful state, its traditions and history. (Dress Code- Jodhpuri Suit with Bandhej Turban)
Day 5 – Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the resort and leave for your destination on your own. However, our cars will transfer you to airport, railway station or bus stand as per your demand and time.
